Does Twelva replace therapy or a sponsor?
No. Twelva is a companion for the slow work of recovery, not therapy or medical care. The sponsor companion is an AI tool — supportive peer reflection, not licensed advice. Keep your therapist, sponsor, and program. Twelva is a steady presence between visits.
Is Twelva only for the 12 steps?
No. Twelva supports many recovery paths — 12-step, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, Al-Anon, CBT-informed, and self-guided. The reflection library and tools are written to honor every tradition.
What's free? What's Pro?
You can use Twelva's reflections, breathing tools, mood and HALT check-ins, journaling, sobriety tracking, and crisis resources for free. Twelva Pro unlocks the full reflection library, the sponsor companion, and unlimited journal sync. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial.
Where is my data stored?
By default, every reflection and journal entry stays on your device. Cloud sync is optional and off until you turn it on. We never sell your data and never use it to train models. Full details in the privacy policy.
I lost my streak after switching devices.
Streaks live on the device by default. Turn on cloud sync (Profile → Cloud Sync & Offline) so progress travels with you. If you've already enabled it and the streak still isn't there, email us with your account email and we'll dig in.
